Did you know that sustained research in paleosciences over the years has resulted in major discoveries that have put Kenya in the global map not only as the cradle of humankind but also as the cradle of innovation?

The Lake Turkana Basin, located in the north-western fringe of Kenya, has always played a key role in improving our understating of the biological, technological, and cultural dynamics of the region. There is also increased demand for development both by government and investor sector in these arid regions focused on building infrastructure to extract new energy sources (oil, wind, hydroelectric) thus, a presenting a challenge of heritage conservation in culturally sensitive landscape.

 

This presentation is an opportunity for you, your family, and friends to hear from and ask questions about Archaeology, Turkana Basin, Tourism Opportunities in Turkana and other related issues, from an expert which you might not traditionally be able to access.
