Tamambo Karen Blixen Coffee Garden
Join us for an exciting talk with artist and gallery owner Wambui Kamiru Collymore
MSc. in African Studies with a focus on Violence, History and Memory from the University of Oxford.
Collecting art is not as difficult (or expensive) as it sounds and can be immensely rewarding. Wambui will explain how to get started, buying from a gallery vs directly from artists, and where to find authentic, original Kenyan art.
Born and raised in Kenya, she has been developing artwork around the themes of decoloniality, identity and independence in Africa. She is the founder of The Art Space, an online art gallery.
Originally a painter, Wambui now expresses her work through installation.
