
Exploring Happy Valley in Kipipiri
Saturday – Sunday, 13th – 14th March 2021
One-night safari to “Happy Valley” in Kipipiri, a mixed forest of undulating tracks with great views of the Northern Aberdare mountain and a chance to see various bird species and colobus monkeys. As well as a vigorous walk into the pristine forest, enjoy a fascinating talk on the history of Happy Valley, what real settler life was like, and the history of the Rhino Ark forest fence.

Included:
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner, tea/coffee will be provided, with provisions made for vegetarians
- Filtered water, but you may bring your own bottled water
- Accommodation in bandas, sharing

- Transport in a van (all Covid 19 protocols to be observed)

What to bring:
- The bandas do not have electricity connection, please bring solar lamps and torches for your personal use.
- Bedding – you can hire sleeping bag at 500/-
- Extra drinking water during the hike (filtered water provided in the mess area)
- Your choice of beverage for evening campfire
- Healthy snacks (including fruits, nuts, energy bars)
- Insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses and hat
- Rain-proof clothing, lightweight fleece
- Trekking shoes are recommended for the hike
- Waste bag
