Located 90km from Nairobi, Mt Longonot National Park is the perfect location for an adventurous day trip out of the busy city, situated on the floor of the world-famous Great Rift Valley, it is popular for hiking and mountain climbing.
The hike takes about 3-5hrs to climb up and down, depending on speed and physical fitness, and requires a modest level of physical fitness, it is steep and good level of determination is needed for this hike that takes 4-5-hour to reach the very rim of the volcano crater, for a glimpse across the Great Rift Valley.
We depart Nairobi early to ensure we complete the hike in time for lunch
Note: This is a challenging hike, so participants must be physically fit for it, if they wish to hike up to the rim of the volcano crater.
