Muthaiga Country Club
In 2000 Plants for Life International started to plant a small forest from scratch by taking out exotic trees and replacing them with 120,000 indigenous trees and shrubs of 650 species.
Why are so few indigenous trees and shrubs grown in Kenya when there are more than 1500 species to choose from?
Can society plant its way out of climate change and is the Amazon forest really the lungs of the earth?
Mark Nicholson will talk about the problems and successes of restoration and will address some global issues of forest creation and protection.
