Do Not Disturb: The Story of a Political Murder and an African Regime Gone Bad.
By Michela Wrong
Saturday, 29 May 2021
5.30pm EAT, Hosted on Zoom
Over the last ten years, the men and women who once made up the ruling Rwandan Patriotic Front elite have gradually been marginalized by the current president Paul Kagame.
The most prominent have been murdered, jailed or gone into exile, founding opposition parties and bitterly denouncing their former friend and boss as a dictator.
Michela Wrong, Author and Journalist, who first visited Rwanda immediately after the 1994 genocide, examines how that came about, its impact on Rwandan society, and asks what young African politicians should do to avoid going down the same route.
What lessons are there for would-be leaders today? Do not miss this!
