Amboseli is at its best during or after the rains. The shallow wetlands are full of water and the park is green.
We also explore Elerai conservancy. It is a quiet, unspoilt conservancy of 5,000 acres belonging to a Masai clan. It acts as a corridor that links Amboseli to the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. From the northern side you get a very unusual view of the saddle between the two peaks of Kilimanjaro.
The food is very good, the service excellent; there is also a small swimming pool and a watering hole for wild animals.
Route We go through Emali. It is an excellent tarmac road with little traffic.
