There are also lots of Figurines, sculptures and paintings.

Safaris

26-28 February: Mt. Kenya
Sirimon route is the driest route to approach the mountain. The scenery is more open and we should see wildlife. The route climbs over the northern moorlands, giving superb views of the main peaks.
We shall stay at Sirimon bandas. They are just outside the park gates so park entry will be paid just for the time we spend walking within the park, that is the 27th.
Cost: 6,400pp sharing
PROGRAMME
Friday 26 Feb- Depart from the Museum car park at 7am. Picnic lunch enroute. Arrive after lunch. Afternoon at leisure to explore. Dinner.
Saturday 27 Feb- A walk after breakfast. The walkers will be separated into 2 groups for either an easy walk or a long, difficult walk.
Sunday 28 Feb- Depart after lunch. If we wish we can stop at the lovely Trout Tree Restaurant for lunch.
The Trout Tree is an interesting place. It is built around a giant fig tree in a forest clearing. You will even see Colobus monkey. The trout is from their own ponds and you can also buy smoked trout to take away.
INCLUDED: Accomodation, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 2 dinners. Guide fees (within reason)
NOT INCLUDED- Transport, park entry.
NOTE-
- There is accommodation for 2 couples and 3 single persons. If you wish to camp let me know.

WEATHER- Cold evenings on the mountain.
